*LONDON* - Ferdinand Foch (1851-1929)

Inscription:- "I am conscious of having served England as I served my own country" - there is also a list of all his commendations on the back of the pedestal and an inscription in French on a slab on the floor (with details of the sculptor and unveiling).
Sculptor:- Georges Malissard - made from bronze.
Unveiled:- 5th June 1930, by the Prince of Wales - footage of the unveiling on the Pathe News website.
Notes:- A copy of the statue at Cassel in France; it is located in Grosvenor Gardens, just across from Victoria Station - general info about the gardens (particularly the two shell huts) here; also a video.
